Meet our Founder

I'm Sam, co-founder of Ki Kefir, originally from Yorkshire with family roots in fermenting. Inspired by my Grandad's homebrew market stall, (I started quite young as you can see below) I have since been fermenting jars of Ki Kefir since 2019.

After training as a dancer many moons ago, I transitioned into the health industry, deepening my understanding of the human body and how food and lifestyle impact our overall health. This is where I discovered kefir, which quickly became one of my top health food's. After 15 years in the industry and making kefir at home, I recognised a gap in the market for high-quality, authentic kefir. That’s when Ki was born in my home kitchen.

Out growing my home kitchen, i moved to our current fermentery in Sussex. As an advocate for anything that promotes good health i have always hunted down the best foods, farms & ingredients. Starting Ki was no different, it was my priorty to make the best kefir available, prioritising the health of people and planet. We use traditional methods with the best organic, grass-fed milk to create nourishing, delicious kefir. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
